Hello!
Let me start by saying this post is meant to improve the experience of all parties during raids. It is with that intent I have formed the following opinions/suggestions.
I am interested in building and leading a group of players in the clan for hard core progression. I have played MMO's for a long time now and in all games, found myself in end-game guilds/clans striving for mastery of the game. I carry that into Destiny.
What I am asking? 6-8 Raiders who: -do not like to wipe. -do not repeat mistakes. -can take helpful criticism and also provide criticism in a helpful manner. -want to be the highest damage, fastest runner, longest aura holder. -understands that the sole reason for playing the game is to have fun. And winning is fun.
What do you think? Is the interest there to create a core-group of raiders who can then branch out and teach, help, or mentor other clan members?

Yes. I feel like I've improved significantly at PvE content since I started with Destiny and could contribute to a group like this.

i feel like we have 6-8 raiders now that meet that criteria. I feel like I fit into that mold perfectly, just time constraints make it difficult to run full raids anymore and still complete the bountiful list of things that destiny has to offer. so much content to squeeze in!

That's part of my point. I too have limited play time unless I want to be single. If I can pug a HM raid in an hour and a half with randoms, having an experienced group who are comfortable together should be just as quick. The focus is familiarity and repetition. That makes the most of the time I have and allows for multiple runs. There is nothing worse being the last person who needs a weekly activity like a raid when everyone else has already done it.

I feel I can fit into a group like this as well. However, family obligations keep me from getting on until 9:30 - 10PM EST. If time is not an issue for most then this would be very cool! I ran with some of the clan as a PUG before joining and we cleared Oryx super fast so this can be done.

So I'm gathering the interest is there and we simply need to work out schedules. I am a fan of Tuesday nights as its a good time right after reset. I prefer my loot disappointment early in the week as opposed to later. I'd also like to try for a weekend day to include those who may not be able to play during the week.(Plus, my football team didn't make the playoffs so I am pouting for the rest of the season)
Tuesday and Sunday at 10pm EST would allow for pacific clan members to make it as well.

This might make me think twice about quiting PvE. I'm down if the schedule works! I can play almost every night around 7 EST as long as I know what days we are raiding in advance! So yeah I'm interested
