King's Fall question.

Hi,

So I defeat the boss, and then I get the instruction to defeat the Vigil Defender Simulacrum. I get ported out of the area where the boss was and back to the front of the area. No simulacrum and I still have a circle where I'm supposed to defeat the simulacrum. I can't get back to it because of a forcefield. Am I missing something?

Please help.
