I suck at using the sword in PvP. If I have the sword out, I get killed prior to closing the distance. If I switch to the sword after closing distance, I get killed during the transition.
I'm not good at ambushing people with sword. Is mayhem the way to play? Got some other pointers?

The best thing to do, is rumble. By far. Less people, no objective, no teams. Nobody is actively looking for you specifically so you can sit back and blend in. Find a good corner to camp out. Things like that. Hop in with a buddy or two and call out your location for them to come to you for free kills. Your sword doesnt need ammo to work for this, and only takes two hits regardless. Youll likely find yourself with a good number of kills when its said and done that werent even handed to you.

i ran arcbolt(Hunter)/firebolt(warlock) grenades and threw them first and went for the hit after. if you hit with the grenade the sword should finish them off
