Who doesn’t love that void bow? Hell, I would love to see a regular archery weapon in this game anyway! Let’s see what we can do in PVP with this thing!
NIGHTSTALKER
This subclass is definitely a team driven class. I would not recommend running solo or rumble with this class, however it is possible to be effective with it.
AGGRESSIVE - The Tracker!
- Best paired with these exotics; MIDA Multi-Tool (when year 2 version drops), Graviton Forfeit, or Sealed Ahamkara’s Grasps.
- Focus on Strength and Discipline.
- Use medium to close range weapons for specials and heavy’s. Pulse or Scout Rifles for primary.
The purpose of this build is to get behind enemy lines and wreak havoc. With Sealed Ahamakara’s Grasps and the Lockdown perk, you will be blinding and poisoning your enemies for twice as long. That extra time is vital for getting off those extra killing blows. Your teammates will appreciate it too. Vortex grenades will block pathways for longer as well. If using the Graviton Forfeit, you won’t want to be as aggressive. Use the shadestep to get yourself out of hairy situations. Know where you escape routes are. Step away and take out your enemy from cover. Also, the Keen Scout perk is crucial to this build. Focus on where the enemy is. Mark them. They might know they are marked and begin to either panic or hide. Use that to your advantage. Call out where they are, block their path with a smoke bomb or grenade and force them to go where you want them to!
RIFT/SALVAGE/CONTROL BUILD - The Trapper!
- Best paired with these exotics; Graviton Forfeit or Sealed Ahamkara’s Grasps.
- Focus on Strength and Discipline.
- Use medium to long range weapons for specials and heavy’s. Pulse or Scout Rifles for primary.
This is just fun! Your objectives actually become your point of attack! Use the grenades and smoke bombs at capture points, rift charge points, or captured salvage areas. Best part is you don’t need to hit anyone. Your smoke bombs will be sticking to walls or the ground just waiting to work their magic. Same thing goes for your void bow. Just launch a few well placed shots at entry ways and enemies won’t believe that they got caught!
If you are really skilled, keep Keen Scout active until your super is charged, then swap to Predator for those void traps! Just be mindful to switch back and forth as needed to take advantage of both perks.
TRIALS BUILD - The Point Man!
- Best paired with these exotics; MIDA Multi-Tool (when year 2 version drops), Red Death, Crest of Alpha Lupi (reroll for the void armor perk), Graviton Forfeit, or Sealed Ahamkara’s Grasps.
- Focus on Strength and Discipline.
- Use medium to close range weapons for specials and heavy’s. Pulse or Scout Rifles for primary.
This is quite similar to the previous build, but you must play more passive. Use the voidwall grenade for hitting corners and taking out a wider area. The effects will last twice as long. This could pull enemies out of cover. Black hole is the super choice this time, as it will be used to tether enemies behind cover, you won’t be using it to kill, but rather use it as a coordinated attack. Know when your enemies super’s are ready and use it when you know they are going to pop them. Make sure you have a teammate there with you when it’s fired. Use Keen Scout to call out where they are. Don’t plan on many kills, but plan on making your team aware of where the enemy is.
Feel free to comment with any suggestions or ideas.
