Bubblebro’s used to get no love. Now they are a real force to be reckoned with! Get ready to blast your foes away.
DEFENDER
This class is an ultimate map control class, whether running solo or with a fireteam.
SOLO SHOTGUNNER (PERSONAL FAVORITE) - Constant Overshield!
- Best paired with these exotics; The Chaperone and No Backup Plans.
- Focus on Strength above all else, then Intellect.
- Pulse Rifle or Hand Cannon for Primary, Sword or Machine Gun for Heavy
I’ve had so much fun with this build, it’s just brutal! The whole concept of this perk is to use the Chaperone to activate the Roadborn perk (grants a boost to fire rate, range, precision damage, and handling) AND activate your force barrier. KEEP IN MIND, when it activates, it uses your melee. If you run your build correctly, you will sparingly use your melee though, so it’s ok. Not only will your force barrier be active by a shotgun kill, but it’s amazingly strong, lasts longer, and it regenerates when not taking damage. You become a running tank with a shotgun. Save your grenades and only use them when you have your ward of dawn is available. Drop it when challenging enemies and dare them to come in! Even better, drop it on capture points for some added incentive for them to come rushing in to their deaths. If they pop their super attempting to break in, toss that suppression grenade at them and watch as they run around like a chicken with his head cut off. I will be running this build and posting some video soon because it is that much fun!
SUPPORT - Team Medic!
- Best paired with these exotics; Helm of Saint-14 or The Armamentarium (reroll for Void armor)
- Focus on Discipline above all else, then Intellect.
- Balanced weapon selections are recommended to accommodate all ranges.
Grenades are your friend for this, but be careful not to get caught in the blast radius. Disable your enemies from being able to jump, melee, throw grenades, or super. If running with the Helm of Saint-14, you can be more aggressive with your bubble. Use your blinding perk to throw your enemies off their game some more. Basically, you are going to be a constant distraction to your enemies. Make your teammates aware where you place your bubble. Most enemies will see your helmet and know you are going to blind them and go no where near it, so capture points are a great spot for them. If you are running the Armamentarium, then just keep those grenades flying and only use your bubble as team support.
