This class is setup so awesome. You can sneak for cover, cloak at will, and have a super that makes enemies scramble. This was the class that I went to the lighthouse with. I’ll show you the builds to go with!
BLADEDANCER
This subclass is great for solo play, and it’s a class you can be quite aggressive with and be successful with. For all builds, you can switch to “Fast Twitch” for your melee to recharge in seconds flat, then switch back to Backstab.
AGGRESSIVE - Run & Gun!
- Best paired with these exotics; MIDA Multi-Tool (when year 2 drops) or Red Death, Crest of Alpha Lupi (reroll for Arc armor), or Mask of the Third Man.
- Focus on Intellect & Discipline always!
- Use a Shotgun for special, Sword or Machine Gun for heavy.
This build is what got me to the lighthouse. Take advantage of any weapon that will give you third eye, so you can keep an eye on the enemy. Using quick draw, you can weaken the enemy as you close in, and then switch with blazing speed to one shot them quickly. This free’s up any weapon using the “single point sling” perk so you can use any other perk you wish. This build is designed to get you as close to the enemy as possible safely. Backstab melee will be very powerful, even if not hitting someone in the back. Any melee kill or blade dancing kill will begin to heal you with this perk. Make those melee’s count! You continue to apply pressure as needed, but know when to evacuate and protect yourself!
THE RUNNER - Stabby!
- Best paired with these exotics; MIDA Multi-Tool (when year 2 drops) or Zhalo’s Supercell and Sealed Ahamkara’s Grasps.
- Focus on Intellect & Discipline always!
- Use a Shotgun for special, Sword or Machine Gun for heavy.
This build is really fun and inventive. You will always have your melee up with this build, don’t even care about Strength. You will be flying around the map with maximum speed. Stick to corners and entry ways. Look out for grenades and shottys, as they will be your worst enemy. Close the gap quickly, and pop off two quick melees. Get the kill, heal yourself, and seconds later both of your melees will return. It’s fun for a larger map surprisingly, since most enemies want to stay ranged and generally unprepared for the melee battle.
Let us know what you think!
