Strikers are very much a utility class and full of surprises. Sadly, the other two subclasses overshadow this one, but it still has a lot of potential in PVP.
STRIKER
This is the class that you want tossing grenades and shutting down entry ways. They also can change the outcome of any battle the second they pop their super.
MAP CONTROL - The Grenadier!
- Best paired with these exotics; Zhalo Supercell or Red Death, and The Armamentarium.
- Focus on Discipline, then Intellect
- Use a Sidearm or Shotgun for special, Sword or Machine Gun for heavy.
Double Lightning grenades and extended blast duration. Pretty straight forward. You’ll be able to close off a particular area of any map at your will. Use the walls and doorways to make sure that no one gets in. Toss a grenade on a capture point and watch enemies scurry away. Once your super is up, use it offensively in doorways and around corners. The aftermath blast is surprising when someone comes running through and just dies. Don’t worry about being aggressive, let the enemy come to you and you’ll wreck them.
SOLO - The Charger!
- Best paired with these exotics; Zhalo Supercell or Red Death, and Peregrine Greaves.
- Focus on Intellect, Then discipline.
- Use a close range weapon for special, anything you want for heavy.
This build will have you running and shoulder charging all day. Make sure you jump when you activate it to get that killing blow every time! Even if the enemy has an overshield, you’ll take them out. Each time you kill an enemy with melee or shoulder charge, you are healing too! Use your flashbang as needed to blind the enemy so they can’t see you coming towards them. There is no need to play it as safe with this build, as you’ll be wanting to engage the enemy at top speed to make sure you shoulder charge as much as possible. Shoulder charge doesn’t use your melee skill, so have fun with it!
